Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Site Engineer to lead process improvement and capital projects. The role emphasizes capital project management, technology transfers, and continuous improvement across mixed-model lines, with close collaboration with operations to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in manufacturing engineering, CAD proficiency, and a strong lean/continuous improvement mindset to elevate quality, cost, and delivery performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
  • 3–5 years engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Experience managing capital projects with operations and contractors.
  • Hands-on manufacturing engineering focused on process efficiency and quality.
  • Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or ProE.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate capital projects with operations, outages, contractors, and equipment.
  • Support facility transformation, transfers, and optimization of production lines.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and process documentation.
  • Implement demand-driven principles to boost flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Generate ideas to improve productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Apply standard tools and practices to drive consistency across the site.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives affecting customer satisfaction.
  • Design area layouts and process definitions to improve flow and safety.
  • Develop, program, and support PLC-based control systems as needed.
  • Select and justify equipment and tooling for capital projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality and safety requirements.
  • Monitor and report effectiveness of improvements; recommend enhancements.
