Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Windsor, CT facility. This onsite role focuses on designing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve existing products and support new introductions, while ensuring environmental, safety, and health compliance and adherence to Eaton’s MESH requirements.

You will collaborate with product engineering, develop work instructions, and lead cost reduction efforts through Lean Six Sigma, using tools such as 8D, PFMEA, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including internship or co-op experience.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or provide CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or other work authorization.
• No relocation benefit; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Windsor, CT.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for existing products and new product launches.
• Develop and maintain work instructions for manufacturing processes; train others.
• Lead and implement cost reduction initiatives via continuous improvement (kaizen) events.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and train others to execute projects.
• Support capital projects; forecast spend and track progress.
