Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for the Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center in Forest, MS. You will ensure hardware assemblies meet drawing requirements and help create assembly instructions and process controls in a SCIF environment.

You will participate in process improvements, root cause analyses, and support design-to-manufacture transitions while maintaining production flow and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective or preventive actions, or lean manufacturing/continuous improvement.
• Experience working with engineering drawings.
• Hands-on electro-mechanical assembly, rework/repair and hardware assembly, torque controls, and tolerance stack up analysis.
• Experience with modeling in Creo or SolidWorks.
• Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of military and commercial standards, materials and process specifications.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist manufacturing engineering initiatives within assigned work centers at the Forest Manufacturing Site.
• Participate in root cause analysis and CORE initiatives.
• Pursue methods to improve overall product quality.
• Assist with review and dispositioning of state-of-the-art hardware to maintain production flow.
• Gather data to create and maintain assembly instructions, routers and process control documents.
