Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II for the Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center in Forest, MS. You will ensure hardware assemblies meet drawing requirements and help create assembly instructions and process controls in a SCIF environment.

You will participate in process improvements, root cause analyses, and support design-to-manufacture transitions while maintaining production flow and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective or preventive actions, or lean manufacturing/continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on electro-mechanical assembly, rework/repair and hardware assembly, torque controls, and tolerance stack up analysis.
  • Experience with modeling in Creo or SolidWorks.
  • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of military and commercial standards, materials and process specifications.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

Raytheon is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to provide engineering support and expertise to the Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center. In this role, you’ll ensure hardware is assembled properly per all drawing requirements and you’ll assist in providing information on the use of manufacturing resources in the creation of instructions to assemble the product. In addition, you’ll assist in implementing processes and will help to provide measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans to meet customer integrations and objectives. In this role you’ll work in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) environment.

  • Assisting with manufacturing engineering initiatives within assigned work center(s) within the Forest Manufacturing Site
  • Participating in Root Cause analysis and CORE initiatives
  • Actively pursuing methods and processes to improve overall Quality of our product
  • Assisting with the review and dispositioning of state-of-the-art hardware to maintain production process flow
  • Gathering data to help to create and maintain Assembly instructions, Routers and Process Control Documents.

This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheon’s Forest, MS facility.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective or preventive actions, or experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
  • Experience working with engineering drawings

The salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 118,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
