Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Wisconsin to support property operations. This role performs technical and mechanical work to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

You will diagnose defects, complete the make-ready process for vacant homes, manage materials, document service requests, and assist in maintenance of grounds and amenities while supporting safety and efficiency across the property.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certification (Type 1 and II or Universal) required for certified technicians.
• State and local certifications as required by jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Executes make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections, punch list, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Manages materials and inventory, tracks usage, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-orders.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs/signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-control by fixing instead of replacing parts when possible and using tools properly.
• Attends safety meetings, complies with OSHA and safety laws, and reports incidents promptly.
• May inspect contractor work to verify quality and scope alignment.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling

State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required

Valid driver’s license
