Job summary

RPM Living is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to sustain and enhance the value of our apartment communities. You will carry out duties and assume Maintenance Manager responsibilities in their absence, coordinating on-call responses and overseeing maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates bring multifamily maintenance experience, EPA certification, and strong communication skills. The role requires safety compliance, teamwork, and proactive preventive care to protect resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of multifamily maintenance experience or training.
• EPA certification is required.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance.
• Complete work orders within 24–48 hours and update records.
• Document activities and communicate with residents, team, and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, and other systems.
• Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain aesthetics and structure.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety/environmental laws.
• Collaborate with team and contractors to ensure seamless maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid issues and maintain quality.
• Assess safety and cleanliness to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Report supply needs and maintain shop organization.
• Assume Maintenance Manager duties in their absence.
