Talentify is hiring for an on-site Logistics Coordinator in Ferndale, MI. The role focuses on coordinating shipments, managing freight costs, and supporting rail and air/ocean logistics operations to ensure efficient supply chain performance.

The position requires 2-3 years of logistics coordination experience, proficiency with Excel, and familiarity with hazmat regulations. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with a strong healthcare plan and 401k benefits.

Formación

• 2-3 years of previous experience as a logistics coordinator.
• Proficiency in logistics, inventory, supply chain, freight, shipping and receiving, and transportation.
• Strong skills in inventory control and order entry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with hazmat regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule shipments, deliveries, and reclaim pickups with carriers.
• Process freight charges related to shipments.
• Serve as a liaison for railroad operations and manage railcar shipments/releases.
• Prepare packages and paperwork for air and ocean freight shipments.
• Acquire competitive rates for shipments upon request.
• Maintain and communicate traffic schedules.
• Continuously improve logistics processes.
• Create and maintain manifests for shipments.
• Maintain shipping records, including manifests.
• Support the logistics manager by assisting with project creation and maintenance.
• Maintain internal processes for receiving and communicating package deliveries.
• Respond to after-hours phone calls in support of urgent shipping needs.
