Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Dallas is seeking a Site Manager for Contract Logistics Operations to oversee a single contract logistics site with full accountability for safety, service, financial performance, and employee engagement.

They ensure delivery of contractual obligations while driving operational excellence aligned with agreed upon performance metrics and customer expectations. They coach site supervisors and frontline teams, execute operational strategies, and lead continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred; HS diploma required.
• 5+ years' leadership in 3PL/contract logistics or similar operations.
• Financial accountability for site-level operations.
• Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP (SAP/Oracle), and reporting tools.
• Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience developing dashboards and KPI reports; data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations from inbound receipt to final delivery.
• Coach teams to drive consistent execution and discipline.
• Execute plans aligned with customer requirements and strategy.
• Ensure 5S, safety, and regulatory compliance at the site.
• Own site P&L, including labor, costs, and expenses.
• Lead workforce planning, forecasting, and capacity management.
• Monitor performance, identify variances, and take corrective actions.
• Manage site capital expenditure and improvement initiatives.
• Lead performance reviews and ensure standard work adherence.
• Collaborate with customers to identify process improvements.
