Job summary

Intuit, Inc. in the United States seeks a TurboTax Local Service Expert to work on-site at a TurboTax location, delivering in-person tax services and connecting clients with a broader Intuit ecosystem.

You’ll provide hands-on tax preparation, tax advice, and software support, while building local relationships and growing the client base with marketing resources. This role emphasizes community engagement and collaboration with Intuit specialists for year-round support.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency‑based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Utilize resources such as government websites, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language.
• Be a proactive community ambassador to grow local TurboTax client base.
• Own your market through outreach, referrals, and community partnerships.
• Organize local events such as financial literacy workshops and networking gatherings with marketing support.
• Act as a trusted guide and connect clients with Intuit solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning.
• Build long-term relationships and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
• Interact with clients in-person and via Intuit video tools.
