Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Onsite System Manager at Travis Air Force Base to maintain and secure a large LMR system, with emphasis on IT administration and cybersecurity. You will support RMF processes, back-end infrastructure, and critical mission operations for the U.S. Federal footprint.

The role requires five years in cybersecurity/IT, RF and networking experience, and deep knowledge of ASTRO 25. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with minimal travel and potential after‑hours support.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years in Cybersecurity and/or IT System Administration.
• Minimum of three (3) years of RF experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Networking experience (WAN/LAN).
• Proficiency with Motorola ASTRO 25 systems and P25 trunking.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary support for LMR Zone Core equipment and related servers, switches, routers, and storage.
• Perform planned maintenance, patching, and coordinate reboots; ensure backups between critical servers.
• Provide daily first‑level troubleshooting and case management; maintain sustainment reports.
• Support RMF cybersecurity accreditation and participate in security planning meetings.
• Assist with system integrations, remote site validation, and documentation updates for US Air Force customers.
