Job summary

Vallen seeks an Onsite Technician I focused on Life Safety Services to install, inspect, test, and maintain life safety systems for established customers. You will perform ITM duties and on-site service calls with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include installing systems, conducting tests, preparing worksheets, and coordinating with customers to ensure quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Minimum 1 Certification (manufacturing/state) in a fire protection related field.
• Minimum 1-year related experience.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Experience in life safety systems installation/maintenance.
• Valid Driver's License; CDL if carrying hazardous materials.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Read, write, and comprehend English.
• Pass Drug & Alcohol screen, Physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install Life Safety Systems, conduct service calls, perform testing and inspections to prescribed standards.
• On-site emergency troubleshooting and maintenance of Life Safety Systems, identifying code issues and discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports.
• Provide customer service in installation and ITM of Life Safety Systems (Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm and Detection, Gas Detection, etc.).
• Follow regulatory standards (State, OSHA, NFPA) where applicable.
• Assist in shipping/receiving, unloading trucks, and distributing to sales associates.
