Job summary

RTX, a premier aerospace and defense company, is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineering leader to drive requirements, architecture, verification, and deployment across programs. The role emphasizes MBSE practices, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and rigorous oversight of technical work products.

Ideal candidates will have extensive STEM experience, familiarity with DOORS, Rhapsody, and Cameo, and a proven ability to optimize system performance while managing risks and budgets.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, and/or other digital engineering tools.
• Experience with system software, system hardware, system requirements and/or test.
• Experience with underwater acoustics analysis, sensor systems, and/or naval system development.
• Hands‑on experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and practices.
• Deep subject matter expertise in systems engineering or a related technical field, including providing guidance and driving technical direction.
• Experience analyzing system performance metrics and applying optimization techniques to improve capability and efficiency.
• Experience breaking down complex technical problems, analyzing data, and developing clear, actionable solutions.
• Experience with technical writing and oral presentations.

Responsibilities

• Define, manage, and validate system requirements across the engineering lifecycle.
• Oversee technical work products for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with requirements.
• Drive development and continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
• Coordinate system architecture, integration, verification, and deployment activities.
• Collaborate across disciplines to resolve technical issues and mitigate risks.
• Lead in reviewing deliverables and ensuring project standards compliance.
• Identify roadblocks, negotiate changes, and foster stakeholder collaboration.
• Analyze contracts and spending to align with project strategy and budgets.
