Job summary

RTX, located in the US, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer in the Test Solutions Engineering organization. You will coordinate across engineering teams to define, design, and document Test Environment capabilities and requirements, ensuring robust testing from component to All-Up-Round.

You must be a systems thinker with deep knowledge of development, production, and embedded test processes. Prior MBSE experience with SysML/UML is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of eight years of directly related engineering experience, or a STEM Master’s with six years related experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering or another engineering discipline such as test requirements development, test methodologies, integration, verification, and/or validation for test.
• Experience with developing, decomposing, and/or managing system requirements across a product lifecycle from design to production.
• Experience with test-related activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Experience with Model Based Engineering processes, techniques, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply subsystem knowledge and collaborate with other engineering disciplines to develop and implement the subsystem model using Model Based System Engineering tools and methods.
• Detail capabilities and derive requirements.
• Communicate test equipment needs and requirements to Test Equipment designers.
• Manage requirements and traceability.
• Promote efficiency in test design by reusing Test Environment requirements and models.
• Develop subsystem requirements, interfaces, behaviors, and architecture.
• Interact with Technical SMEs to understand the subsystem and resolve issues.
