RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a senior software engineer to lead development and integration of test software for DoD programs.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust software across C++, C#, Java, and Python, while aligning with program goals and security requirements. The role requires strong communication with management and hands-on debugging of hardware/software interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 10 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 7 years of experience.
• 10+ years developing/integrating software using C++, C#, Java, Python or Visual Basic.
• 10+ years engineering experience with IDEs and debugging tools for software integrity.
• Experience with Windows OS, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps Server.
• Familiarity with lab instruments, electronics and software like NI VISA and NI tools.
• Two years’ experience managing DoD-compliant test equipment or leading a program.

Responsibilities

• Guide multidisciplined teams in development of test equipment.
• Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a production environment.
• Contribute to cost and schedule management planning.
• Communicate project status to senior management.
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment.
• Develop requirements for software products.
