Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Lab Support Coordinator to provide critical lab support onsite at the Gaithersburg customer site. The role coordinates services for a designated building and serves as the single point of contact for lab staff to ensure smooth operation.

You will work with safety, inventory, and facilities teams, oversee stock, coordinate waste removal, escort third‑party vendors, and maintain Good Documentation Practice while supporting lean 5S initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or higher with 1+ years in a customer‑facing role within a scientific environment.
• High School Diploma with 2+ years in a customer‑facing role within a scientific environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for customer lab staff, coordinating needs and activities.
• Work with other teams to deliver lab support services seamlessly.
• Oversee stock items and assist with waste removal and safety workflows.
• Escort third‑party vendors and maintain Good Documentation Practice.
• Cross‑train and provide back‑up to other lab support areas.
