Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team in Emeryville, CA seeks an associate to support inventory management, shipping coordination, and customer service. You will handle consumables, chemicals, and samples, while ensuring accurate inventory control and timely reporting.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in material handling, inventory replenishment or customer service.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred.
• Solid understanding of shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
• Excellent customer service and professional demeanor.
• Excel experience and attention to metrics is a plus.
• Chemical handling experience is a plus.
• Strong safety, quality, and procedural adherence.
• Ability to prioritize, self-motivate, and communicate with customers and internal contacts.

Responsabilidades

• Manage inventory movements on and off site and fulfill customer metric reporting.
• Oversee slow-moving and dead inventory, cycle counts, and annual inventories.
• Provide daily customer service and communicate inventory updates to customers.
• Perform purchasing tasks including back orders, expediting, and quotes.
• Handle order entry, reporting, metrics, and cost savings tracking.
• Coordinate shipping activities and enter shipping data into systems.
• Prepare shipping documentation for hazardous materials.
• Interface with customer contacts, purchasing and facility directors.
