Job summary
Avantor is seeking a proactive Operations Specialist to support multiple facilities in the SF Bay Area. You will manage lab supply coordination, travel to client sites, and collaborate with ASE teams to meet timelines.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in inventory control or related roles, strong communication, and familiarity with SAP systems. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associates/undergrad degree a plus.
- 3+ years in inventory control, procurement, shipping/receiving or inside sales.
- Microsoft Suite experience and ability to travel overnight.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple facilities and/or customers in a strategic geographic area, may cover other roles during vacations or emergencies.
- Act as backup to other territories and may require travel outside designated area.
- Coordinate and lead team efforts to meet customer requirements.
- Work with management to develop SOPs, scopes of work, standard work and on-the-job training.
