Job summary

The Addison Group is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced, onsite environment in Tacoma, WA. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and help ensure day-to-day IT operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate has strong Active Directory experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while engaging employees across the facility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IT support, desktop support, or technical support experience.
• Strong Active Directory experience including user management and permissions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows OS and enterprise technologies.
• Experience in multi‑application environments and learning unfamiliar systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to support staff in person.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support to end users and troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and applications.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests in Active Directory.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across Windows operating systems and business applications.
• Support a diverse application environment and quickly learn unfamiliar systems.
• Respond to IT incidents and service requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
• Install, image, and deploy desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Troubleshoot conference room A/V systems, phones, and peripherals.
• Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Provide hands-on support for onsite infrastructure and data center equipment.
• Maintain IT assets, inventory, and documentation.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
