Job summary

CloudCover in Durham, NC is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a minimum 6‑month, 100% onsite engagement from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Extensions are possible; no sponsorships available.

This hands-on role involves daily troubleshooting and administration of all on‑premise systems. You will document incidents and asset updates, prioritize requests, and collaborate with IT, facilities, vendors, and business partners to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

Two or more years of Tier 1 deskside or help desk support in a corporate environment.
Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
Strong customer service mindset with clear, professional communication.
Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and basic networking.
Experience with AV tech (Teams Rooms) is a plus.
IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Fundamentals preferred.

Responsibilities

Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and asset updates in a ticketing system.
Prioritize requests, follow processes, and maintain ownership through resolution.
Collaborate with IT, facilities, vendors, and business partners.
Assist with account access, MFA, password resets, and endpoint setup.
Provide on-site support for executives or high-touch end-user environments preferred.
