Job summary

CloudCover is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for a 1-2 year, 100% onsite assignment in South San Francisco, CA. You will perform daily hands-on troubleshooting and administration of all active systems, with an 8AM-5PM Mon-Fri schedule and potential extensions.

The role emphasizes strong Windows and iOS troubleshooting, Active Directory management, remote support, and excellent customer service while maintaining clear documentation and collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in desktop support or IT technical support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and iOS devices.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Experience with Active Directory for user management.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
• Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems, client uses Fresh Service.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and patience in resolving user issues.
