Job summary

BioCryst Pharmaceuticals seeks an IT Support Specialist for 100% on-site coverage at the Frontier Durham office. The role handles walk-up and deskside support, hardware/software issues, and conference room tech, including onboarding/offboarding tasks and executive support.

This is a 6-month contract with five days on-site. Candidates should be hands-on, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Tier 1 deskside/help desk in a corporate setting.
• Associate degree or equivalent in IT or related field preferred.
• Strong customer service mindset and clear in-person communication.
• Proficient with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, mobile devices, printers, docking stations, peripherals, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site Tier 1 IT support resource (walk-up, deskside, chats, calls, tickets).
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printers, mobile devices, badge/access, and Microsoft 365 issues; escalate as needed.
• Provide white-glove support for leadership, visitors, and executives at the frontier Durham office.
• Troubleshoot conference room/AV tech (Teams Rooms, displays, cameras, mics, room setup).
• Perform daily office tech checks; ensure spaces, printers, loaner equipment are operational.
• Document incidents and requests in ITSM with accurate notes and timely updates.
