Job summary

GovCIO is hiring an IT Service Technician to provide onsite support in Houston, TX. This role involves hands-on maintenance of networks/servers, hardware troubleshooting, and end-user assistance in a Federal environment.

Candidate must obtain A+, ITIL Foundation, HDI, and one of Security/Network/Server within six months; certification costs are reimbursed by GovCIO. onsite travel may be required.

• High level of technical proficiency expected.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support for all activities and coordinate with support teams.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain networks/servers and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, system upgrades, and hardware replacement.
• Assist with remote support for telework users and VPN/Citrix access issues.
• Support pre/post application releases and report end-user support trends.
• Assist with asset inventory, receiving and receipting property, and disposal preparations.
