Job summary

New Charter, LLC is seeking a dedicated IT Desktop Specialist to deliver thorough software and hardware support to clients in the Midland and Lubbock area. You will respond to support calls, work remotely, in-office, and on-site, and help maintain client systems with a focus on timely issue resolution.

The role requires strong customer service, a background in IT triage/help desk, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules including field work. CJIS background may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic technical background with hands-on experience in AD, networking, security, and ticketing systems.
• 2-4 years of IT triage/help desk experience in a technical support role.
• Experience handling call queues in a support role.
• Strong verbal and written communication to interact with end-users and team members.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support calls and assist clients remotely, in-office, and on-site.
• Bi-weekly rotation of in-office phone and ticket support and onsite client projects.
• Track and ensure timely response to on-site support calls.
• Maintain records and expense accounts using ConnectWise.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Foster positive client relations and uphold professional standards.
• Identify, research, and implement solutions to client problems.
• Provide internal systems support and configure, deliver, install, and implement client systems.
• Offer on-site client support and hardware maintenance.
• Solve problems with clear communication and original thinking.
• Learn and implement new technologies or methods.
• Maintain a standard 40-hour work week with flexibility for after-hours projects.
• CJIS background check eligibility.
