Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an IT Support Specialist for a 1-year contract to support our client in Wilmington, Delaware. The role involves hands-on onboarding/offboarding of employee equipment and providing end-user technical support for laptops, mobile devices, monitors, printers, and software such as Microsoft Outlook.

Documentation must be detailed and kept current in ServiceNow. Onsite work is required five days a week in Wilmington, with occasional travel to nearby locations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience onboarding/offboarding employee equipment.
• Experience supporting laptops, mobile devices, monitors, desktops, printers.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to independently research issues.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM/ticketing platform.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to take ownership of technical problems and escalate when needed.
• Broad knowledge of hardware, software, applications, and basic networking.
• MSIntune experience is a plus but not required.
• Onsite work in Wilmington five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage equipment onboarding and offboarding for employees.
• Provide hands-on support for laptops, mobile devices, docking stations, monitors, desktops, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, Outlook, printing, and end-user tech issues.
• Manage 7-15 service tickets per day with real-time ServiceNow documentation.
• Troubleshoot and triage issues before escalation to specialized teams.
• Research unfamiliar issues using internal knowledge bases and resources.
• Assist with occasional equipment replacements and local IT support.
• Create technical documentation and share knowledge with the team.
