Job summary

Milliman's Casualty IT Support internship offers hands-on experience delivering end-user IT support across hardware, software, networking, and telecom environments for an 80+ person practice. You will handle tickets, perform remote sessions, audits, and on-site hardware work in Brookfield, WI, with a regular onsite schedule during the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Some experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft software solution technologies, as well as hardware (desktop, laptop, printer, conferencing equipment, mobile devices)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 and O365 environment
• Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, GitHub in projects
• Interest in AI technologies and their application in IT operations and automation
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Willing to learn and expand knowledge while evolving tech needs
• Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively in a team
• Organized, positive problem-solver with professional communication
• Able to prioritize multiple concurrent requests and lift up to 40 pounds

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming tickets and ad hoc requests from local and remote users
• Resolve technical issues with attention to detail and research incidents
• Prioritize tickets by urgency and information provided
• Create, update, and review technical process documentation
• Contribute to IT knowledge base
• Solve problems on the fly and perform auditing tasks
• Physically install and configure new hardware, software, and systems
• Complete hardware refresh workflows
• Provide A/V support for in-office meetings
• Communicate clearly and kindly to end-users
• Follow internal approval procedures
• Guide users on operating new software and equipment
• Research thoroughly and exhaust all resources to investigate issues
• Complete compliance standards for retired assets
• Relocate and configure existing equipment as needed
