Job summary

Alliance of Professionals & Consultants, Inc. is seeking a hands-on IT consultant for rapid, onsite support in Greensboro. The contractor will diagnose incidents, coordinate escalation, and help maintain secure IT services across engineering, test, lab, and office environments.

You will work with end users, onsite technicians, service desks, and global teams to restore service quickly, document fixes, and improve repeatable processes. This is a 6-month contract and onsite role.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on onsite IT support in a business-critical environment.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows clients, hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Experience with engineering, test, lab, or manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite, hands-on support for time-critical incidents affecting engineering, test, lab, and office operations.
• Triage incidents, assess business impact, restore service, and escalate as needed.
• Troubleshoot Windows clients, workstations, hardware, software, and network connections.
• Support test/lab computers, HIL rigs, and associated devices and networks.
• Install, configure, and maintain approved hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Document steps, fixes, and recurring issues; propose improvements to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate incident and asset records in service-management tools.
• Coordinate with local/global teams to restore service and transfer ownership if required.
