Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to provide hands-on, onsite IT support, ensuring end users stay productive and devices run smoothly. You will join a collaborative IT team and support client-site staff in Hooksett, NH.

The role requires part-time availability (20 hours/week), with an onsite schedule five days a week. You will configure devices, support printers, and contribute to SOP updates and new process creation. The internship runs 9–12 months, starting October 2026.

Qualifications

• Currently attending a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university, pursuing a STEM major.
• Availability to work part-time, 20 hours per week (5 days a week, 4 hours a day), onsite.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between HQ and Retail locations as required.
• High level of quality and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for basic hardware issues with desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Provide onsite support for printer-related issues and requests (label printers, mobile printers, receipt printers, toners).
• Configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals according to SOPs.
• Review and update SOPs; create SOPs for newly defined processes and procedures.
