Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to provide hands-on, onsite technical support that keeps end users productive and their devices running smoothly. You will work five days a week onsite at our Hooksett, New Hampshire office, supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, while following SOPs and learning our knowledge base.

The internship lasts 9 months to 1 year, starting in October 2026, with an hourly rate of $25.00.

Qualifications

• Currently attending a 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university, pursuing a STEM major.
• Availability to work part-time, 20 hours per week (5 days a week, 4 hours a day), onsite.
• High level of quality and strong attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between HQ and Retail locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for basic hardware-related issues with desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Provide onsite support for printer-related issues and requests, including label printers, mobile printers, receipt printers, and toners.
• Configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals according to SOPs.
• Review knowledge base and SOPs, update outdated SOPs and create new procedures.
