Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Desktop Engineer Intern to deliver onsite, hands-on IT support that keeps end users productive and devices running smoothly. You will join the internal IT support team at a client or Cognizant office in Hooksett, New Hampshire, working 20 hours per week onsite for 9 to 12 months beginning October 2026.

You’ll configure desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals, update SOPs, and contribute to knowledge bases while collaborating with IT staff and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited college/university
• Pursuing a STEM major and eligible for part-time internship
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Willingness to travel between locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite hardware support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Provide onsite printer support for various printers and consumables
• Configure new desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals
• Review and create SOPs and update knowledge base
