Job summary

Skydio is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to be the frontline support for employee technology on site at our San Mateo HQ. You will own onboarding, transfers, provisioning, and day‑to‑day support, working across Linux, Windows, and Mac platforms to ensure smooth Day 1 experiences.

You will manage identity with Okta and device management with JumpCloud, plus maintain conference room tech and AV systems. This role requires hands‑on troubleshooting and a proactive approach to improving processes

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supporting employees in a fast‑paced office environment, and hands‑on technical experience supporting Linux, Windows, and Mac environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for walk-up and ticketed IT support by gathering information, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Linux, Windows, and Mac.
• Provide hands-on support for hardware diagnostics, system provisioning, and patch management.
• Own the employee technology lifecycle end-to-end — onboarding, transfers, and offboarding — provisioning and deprovisioning accounts, devices, and access on schedule.
• Administer and improve Okta for identity and access: SSO, MFA, user provisioning/deprovisioning, group management, and automation workflows tied to onboarding and offboarding events.
• Ensure employee devices are enrolled in JumpCloud during onboarding, updated throughout conversions, and removed during offboarding.
