Job summary

MatX Inc. is seeking an organized Help Desk / Desktop Support Technician in Mountain View, CA. You will be the first IT contact for 100+ users, provisioning devices and accounts, keeping the fleet updated, enrolled in MDM, and ensuring security standards.

You will work on-site three days per week and report to the IT team. This role emphasizes rapid, clear communication and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of IT support experience.
• Experience with Google Workspace, GitHub, and Linux.
• Strong written and verbal communication, highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for Help Desk issues and triage/resolve or escalate.
• Provision laptops and user accounts for new employees, and deprovision for departures.
• Assist with hardware procurement and deployment (MacBook, ChromeOS, Linux).
• Maintain device fleet in MDM and ensure security baseline compliance.
• Assist with BYOD enrollment and corporate mobile device management.
• Maintain conference room A/V and office networking.
• Track action items and coordinate with teams, updating documentation.
