Job summary
Samsara is hiring an Onsite IT Specialist to join the IT Helpdesk team in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on troubleshooting, user access, and provisioning laptops and peripherals to ensure teams stay online and productive.
The position is in-office at our San Francisco headquarters, with 5 days per week in Pacific Time, and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced, globally scaling company.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of help desk or technical support experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working onsite supporting employees in an IT environment.
- A college degree in a technical program or 4 years relevant job experience.
Responsibilities
- Help the Samsara team both at our San Francisco headquarters and online to resolve their tech problems.
- Manage a ticket queue and seek opportunities to improve how we work.
- Complete new hire onboarding, including ordering and provisioning laptops and client peripherals and managing system access.
- Support hardware recovery and asset management.
- Manage office endpoints like printers, laptops, conferencing room equipment, and more.
- Collaborate with IT Specialists to deliver infrastructure projects and upgrades; document IT policies.
