Job summary

Midwest Foods is seeking an Information Technology Support/Helpdesk specialist for our Chicago location. You will be the first point of contact for end users, providing on-site technical assistance and device support across workstations, mobiles and desk phones.

Responsibilities include software/hardware installation, inventory management, escalation when needed, and basic network troubleshooting to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; IT certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for end users and provide technical assistance.
• Configure and support devices such as workstations, mobile phones, laptops and desk phones.
• Install new software applications or hardware and coordinate with system admins.
• Maintain inventory of IT supplies and repair/maintain equipment.
• Escalate issues to next level support and follow up with users.
• Troubleshoot network and Internet issues as they arise.
