Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide on-site IT support for 8–10 K-12 school sites in North Charleston, SC. This contract-to-hire role involves hands-on hardware and software support that directly helps teachers and students.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting laptops, desktops, tablets, printers and SMART boards, performing deployments, configurations, and ensuring network connectivity, with escalation from Help Desk as needed.

Qualifications

• IT/desktop support experience required.
• Proficient in Windows 10 and 11 troubleshooting.
• Hardware repair and deployment experience.
• Strong customer service for non-technical users.
• A+ or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• On-site IT support at K-12 schools.
• Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, SMART/Promethean Boards.
• Diagnose hardware/software issues and replace devices when needed.
• Perform deployments, configurations, and connectivity support.
• Handle tickets escalated from Help Desk.
