Job summary

Our client in Augusta, ME seeks a qualified Field Technician to provide end-user IT support. Must have reliable transportation, a clean MVR, and a valid driver’s license. On-site work preferred with print/IT equipment experience.

Role involves diagnosing issues, installing and maintaining IT hardware/software, and delivering professional customer service. A High School/GED is required and physical lifting is part of the job.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of printers (laser and wide format / plotters), computer hardware, and software systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while also functioning in a team.
• Must be able to climb ladders and use hand tools efficiently.
• Physical ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and related applications.
• Repair / install / remove printers, POS, laptops, desktops, servers, network equipment.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Provide clear, professional technical support to customers both onsite and via phone.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.
