Job summary

City and County of San Francisco's Department of Public Health is seeking an IT Field Services Technician (1093) to support endpoint computing for the 8,000+ users across the 24/7 service desk, hospitals, clinics, and health centers. This exempt, onsite role emphasizes excellent customer service, problem solving, and hands-on hardware/software support.

The incumbent will install and maintain PCs, mobile devices, operating systems, applications, and peripherals, collaborate with IT teams,

Qualifications

Requires an associate degree in computer science or closely related field with equivalent coursework.
Three (3) years of experience performing analysis, installation, and technical support in a network environment.

Responsibilities

Install, Configure, Manage computer hardware, mobile devices, operating systems, applications, printers, and other peripherals.
Provide full range of service desk functions including L1/2 support, incident management, and escalation.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues impacting PCs and devices.
Research, evaluate, and implement new technology and patches.
Build, test, deploy OS and application packages using enterprise tools.
