Job summary

UCSF is seeking an IT Field Services Supervisor to lead a team of Field Services Technicians across UCSF locations. You will drive incident resolution, maintenance delivery, and high‑quality IT support while overseeing staff development and performance.

You will collaborate with site leaders, vendors, and cross‑functional teams, ensuring PHI security, policy compliance, and scalable service improvements. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a valid CA driver's license.
• Minimum five years supporting Windows and macOS in an enterprise environment.
• At least two–three years supervising teams and managing complex IT projects.
• Strong knowledge of IT support processes and customer service excellence.
• Experience handling escalations and leading cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day supervision and leadership for Field Services staff across locations.
• Coordinate desktop support, incidents, maintenance, moves, and upgrades.
• Manage ticket queues, staffing, schedules, and coverage for continuous service.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues and coordinate with partners.
• Participate in after‑hours support and cross‑functional projects.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive environment and staff development.
