Job summary

Wurth Elektronik seeks an IT Field Service Support to be the first point of contact for end users, maintaining desktop PCs, printers, network gear, and warehouse technologies. You will handle in-person and remote support, manage tickets, and escalate as needed to keep operations running smoothly in the Roanoke, VA area.

The role requires an Associate's degree, 2+ years of hardware troubleshooting, and strong knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VPN, and IT security practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of hardware troubleshooting and help desk support experience.
• Understanding of LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewalls, Routers, Switches.
• A+ Certification and ITIL Foundation Certification Preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for end users seeking IT support.
• Provide in-person and remote assistance, phone, and ticketing system support.
• Resolve incidents or escalate per SLAs and procedures.
• Support onboarding, hardware provisioning, and access to systems.
• Document actions, resolutions, and time spent in the ticketing system.
• Configure and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Assist with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VPN, VOIP, CRM, and printer issues.
• Travel to company locations and participate in on-call rotations.
• Promote IT security best practices and policies.
• Utilize AI tools to improve troubleshooting efficiency.
