Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Support Technician to deliver end-user support at a client site in Monroe, LA. You will be the primary contact for technical issues, providing hands-on help for Windows and Mac devices, AV systems, printers, and peripherals.

Responsibilities include coordinating asset management, logistics for IT equipment, and basic network troubleshooting to ensure minimal disruption and a positive employee IT experience.

Qualifications

• Weeks 3+ years in Deskside/IT support or Help Desk environments.
• Strong experience supporting Windows and macOS.
• Experience with asset management, inventory control and logistics.
• Hands-on experience with AV/ conferencing tech.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and end-user connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for end users via walk-up, phone, chat and email.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, peripherals and apps issues.
• Provide deskside support for Windows and Mac devices.
• Manage IT asset lifecycle including deployment, inventory and tracking.
• Coordinate logistics for IT equipment and accessories.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular audits.
• Deliver Level 1 AV support for conference rooms and meetings.
