Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc is seeking a Supply Chain Services Associate to manage on-site inventory, restock vending/VMI and support customer needs. The role focuses on accurate logging, KPI alignment, and proactive stockout mitigation.

Collaborate with the Supply Chain Services Manager and inside sales to meet service standards and maintain Vallen's inventory excellence. 1+ year experience preferred; heavy on-site engagement at customer locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years in inventory management or distribution.
• Familiarity with vendor-managed inventory systems, vending machines, and general supply chain operations.
• Customer-focused service mindset with strong communication.
• Analytical ability to assess inventory and resolve issues.
• Effective verbal communication for customer-facing work.
• Team player who collaborates with Vallen and customer teams.
• Self-driven with a sense of responsibility to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operational Fulfillment: restock vending machines, VMI cabinets, and toolcribs to standards.
• Customer Interaction: assist onsite customers with inventory or tool usage questions.
• Asset & Inventory Handling: log and track inventory per protocols.
• KPI Awareness: monitor KPIs and support targets with the manager.
• Stock Out Mitigation: identify and address potential stockouts during fills.
• Compliance & Reporting: adhere to inventory protocols and report discrepancies.
• Collaborative Support: work with manager and coordinator on-site strategies.
• Continuous Learning: stay updated on inventory tools and best practices.
