Job summary

Vallen Distribution is seeking a Supply Chain Services Associate to perform on-site inventory management and VMI support at a customer location. You will collaborate with the Supply Chain Services Manager and account teams to ensure accurate inventory, service standards, and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes restocking, logging inventory, KPI awareness, and proactive stockout mitigation while maintaining Vallen's focus on excellence and on-site operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years in inventory management, distribution, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with vendor-managed inventory systems and vending machines.
• Service-oriented mindset focused on customer needs.
• Ability to quickly assess inventory levels and provide solutions.
• Effective verbal communication in a customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Restock vending machines, VMI cabinets, and toolcribs according to set standards.
• Assist onsite customers with inventory or tool usage questions.
• Log and track inventory usage, restocking, and requests.
• Monitor KPI goals with the Manager and support on-site operational strategies.
• Identify and mitigate potential stockouts during fills in collaboration with the team.
• Follow inventory protocols and report discrepancies.
