Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an On-Site Service Specialist level 1 in Clive, IA to deliver exceptional customer service and manage stock at large customer locations. You will support procurement, order placement, and MSC ControlPoint solutions including VMI and vending systems.

The role requires strong communication, inventory optimization, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive on-site value and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of experience in telephone sales, outside sales, storeroom/inventory management, or customer service.
• Excellent customer service and sales skills and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage MSC ControlPoint Solutions, including VMI, vending, and storeroom programs.
• Perform ordering, product put-away, and inventory optimization.
• Promote MSC customer loyalty through solution support and CARE program execution.
• Maintain 6S standards across all solution equipment and areas.
• Log daily activities in Salesforce (SFDC).
• Maintain appropriate stock levels (min/max).
• Receive, unpack, and restock products at all points of use.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure solution retention and satisfaction.
