Job summary

ShipBob is seeking an Onsite Merchant Support Specialist to monitor inventory at partner fulfillment centers in Bolingbrook, IL. You will be the sole onsite ShipBob representative, resolving merchant concerns and supporting scalable operations.

You’ll run daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and report findings to leadership, while ensuring 24-hour SLA compliance and adherence to food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of ICQA experience in a 3PL or warehousing setting.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management System software.
• Experience using an RF Scanner preferred.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision on-site.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and stand/walk 8–10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Run daily cycle counting and inventory control processes according to SOPs using partner resources.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies reported by Merchant Support and report significant discrepancies to leadership.
• Perform physical location checks to ensure quality and reconcile variances within a 24-hour SLA.
• Determine root cause of inventory adjustments and lead corrective actions.
• Perform audits or actions requested by merchants within the site.
• Respond and resolve merchant-facing requests via ticketing system within 2-hour SLA.
• Vocalize concerns around inventory practices to management to identify process improvements.
• Communicate updates and operational information about merchants to OSS Area Manager.
• Present weekly performance reports during business reviews with leaders from partner fulfillment center.
• Comply with all food safety and compliance policies and regulations.
• Ensure products are handled, stored, and distributed safely, maintaining quality and traceability.
• Other duties as necessary.
