Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years in health and safety management
• Experience in construction and operations safety
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910
• Driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Willingness to work in field conditions and flexible schedules

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive safety culture for the project site.
• Develop safety performance metrics and targets.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for OSHA 1910/1926 compliance.
• Facilitate daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and drills.
• Document and report incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Partner with project management to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts when required.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Oversee safe commissioning and transition to operations.
• Facilitate the permit-to-work process within power blocks.
• Develop, implement, and maintain OSHA-aligned safety programs.
• Train personnel in hazard recognition, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.
• Analyze safety metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Provide data analysis and reporting to evaluate safety outcomes.
• Conduct field safety audits and coach personnel.
• Provide first aid or coordinate medical response as needed.
• Promote ethical behavior and a proactive safety culture.
• Communicate policies and plans to ensure compliance with VoltaGrid values.
