Job summary

VoltaGrid is seeking a Field Safety Supervisor to provide onsite health and safety support during construction and long-term operations of a large microgrid project in Abilene, Texas. This role requires expertise in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (Construction) and OSHA 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry) standards to ensure a seamless transition from construction through commissioning and into long-term operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in health and safety management systems.
Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred).
Professional certification such as OHST highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Establish a positive safety culture for the project site.
Develop safety performance metrics and key targets for the project.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits for OSHA 1910/1926 compliance and local regulations.
Facilitate daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and emergency drills.
Document and report all incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.
Lead Root Cause Analysis efforts and implement corrective actions.
