Job summary

VoltaGrid LLC is hiring an Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordinator to support our Abilene site during construction and operations. The role focuses on promoting a proactive safety culture, coordinating with People Operations and Safety, and guiding safety initiatives across all site activities.

The coordinator will manage inspections, trainings, incident reporting, and emergency drills, ensuring OSHA compliance and effective risk mitigation for the 140-acre laydown yard and future

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in fleet safety, compliance, or construction operations preferred.
• Experience using fleet telematics systems such as Samsara is strongly preferred.
• Strong reporting, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support for health & safety organization.
• Support positive safety culture for the project site.
• Work closely with People Operations and Safety departments to align safety practices across teams.
• Participate in safety meetings, incident reviews, and compliance audits.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to drivers and management.
• Assist with safety performance metrics and key targets for the project.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 and 1926.
