Job summary

MNP is hiring an HR Specialist – Recruiting & Training for an onsite role in Utica, Michigan. The position focuses on attracting candidates, guiding them through the hiring process, and supporting training initiatives.

The role reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and emphasizes relationship-building and proactive sourcing. Ideal candidates will have AS or BS in HR or business and at least 3 years of recruiting experience, including manufacturing personnel.

• Experience recruiting manufacturing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting.
• Track open positions, partner with hiring managers on job postings/descriptions.
• Conduct pre-screening interviews and coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers.
• Partner with managers to assess candidates, provide hiring expertise, extend offer letters, and organize onboarding.
• Own the New Hire Orientation program, including follow‑up activities, connection‑building, and retention action plans.
• Develop and administer new hire feedback surveys and follow‑up processes.
• Coordinate performance review cycles with managers on a set schedule.
• Build talent pipeline partnerships with technical schools, high schools, and other institutions.
• Coordinate training and development programs, track new hire training completion, and recommend training or role adjustments for underperforming employees.
• Support additional HR functions and events.
• Demonstrate MNP's core values of humility, dedication, compassion, trust, and integrity in daily work.
