Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Lansing, MI is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide staffing, onboarding, retention, training and team member support for Supply Chain manufacturing and distribution facilities.

This role partners with the HR Team to support Talent Management, Training, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Benefits Administration, and Grievance Administration. This 100% on-site position emphasizes recruiting, interviewing, screening, coordinating job fairs, ensuring compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
PHR or SPHR certification is desirable.
3–5 years of HR Generalist experience in a support role.
Experience in a union environment is preferred.
Strong interviewing and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Primarily focus on Recruiting, Interviewing and Screening hourly and salaried candidates.
Coordinate and attend job fairs and other hiring events.
Assist hiring managers through processes related to recruiting and onboarding.
Ensure Recruiting and Onboarding Compliance with EEO/ADA and other laws.
Develop and monitor metrics related to recruiting, onboarding and turnover.
