Meijer Inc. in Lansing Distribution Complex is seeking an HR Generalist who will provide on-site support across staffing, onboarding, retention, training, and team member relations.

You will partner with hiring managers to meet recruitment goals, manage job profiles, coordinate screenings, and ensure compliance with EEO/ADA standards. The role emphasizes collaboration, analytics, and timely HR service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field is required.
• PHR or SPHR certification is desirable.
• 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience in a support role.
• Experience in a Union environment is preferred.
• Experience in staffing and leadership recruitment practices.
• Proficient with technology solutions and HR systems.
• Excellent interviewing skills and behavioral-based techniques.
• Strong business acumen and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Primarily provide HR support for Supply Chain facilities, focusing on Staffing, Onboarding, Retention, Training and Team Member Support.
• Assist HR team with Talent Management, Training, Employee Relations, Performance Management and Benefits administration.
• Ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, and other government regulations; coach managers accordingly.
• Coordinate pre-employment screening such as drug tests and background checks.
• Maintain documentation and assist with Orientation and Onboarding as needed.
• Develop and monitor recruiting metrics and headcount data.
