Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• New employees to the Department of the Navy must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• This role may require travel from Guam to CONUS and OCONUS, including remote or isolated sites, and you must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training and obtain and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 level (or equivalent private/public sector experience).
• Specialized experience must include: processing personnel recruitment actions; onboarding new employees; maintaining and providing HR data reports to leadership and hiring managers; and assisting customers with HR-related issues such as personnel, pay, and benefits.
• This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Responsibilities

• Partner with selecting officials and managers to recruit for a full range of commonly filled positions and provide guidance on hiring authorities.
• Review applications and make basic qualifications determinations for a full range of commonly filled positions.
• Interpret regulations, policies, and directives, and use judgment to deliver pay setting guidance.
• Respond to visitor and caller inquiries by providing information on programs and employment entitlements.
• Maintain organization charts by verifying organizational data and structures and reflecting accurate position counts by title, series, grade, position number, and coding designations.
• Coordinate, research, and identify entitlements related to employee PCS moves.
• Prepare miscellaneous documents and provide support services such as ordering supplies and scanning documents.
• Use personal computer tools, word processing, office automation equipment, and software to create, edit, retrieve, and print documents; produce correspondence; and create or maintain spreadsheets or databases.
